Farm Sitting
I offer local farm sitting for the Cranbrook and Kimberly area. I have decades of experience with horses, goats, sheep and all types of dogs, functional boarding or breeding kennels, working dogs or kennel free pets. I am also happy to pop in on your family of small animals while you are away.
I do my best to leave your property better than I found it. That means you will come home to your house as tidy as you left it, and with minimal trace I was even there. I also run a cleaning business and we can arrange for a deep clean while you are away at the rate of $25/hour
Base Rate $75 / day - $50 partial day
Weekly Rate - $450 / week
This applies to an hour of labour per day or less. That can include feeding or turn out of livestock, a brief walk for a group of dogs per day plus feedings. I will stay in your home, care for it as if it's my own so that someone is around to watch livestock and keep indoor pets company.
Added Labour $25/hour
For things like mucking out paddocks or stalls, complex turn-out with multiple blankets, multiple rotations of dogs, multiple seperate groups of dogs for exercise, medical care for animals such as wound care, leg wraps. Or, in general, a daily routine that takes more than one hour collectively per day, there will be a $25/ hour fee, rounded up to the nearest half hour.
- For farm sitting further than 20kms past Kimberly / Cranbrook, travel fees apply.
- I do have my own 3 working dogs that travel with me. They generally stay separated on a crate and rotate schedule unless you are local to Gold Creek / South Cranbrook where I can travel between easily.
Farm sits over lambing season, or during puppy welping involve additional fees. Please reach out for a more extensive quote.
